100 WINES

Saturday Evening

After getting settled into our awesome condo we headed down to our beach for just a bit. It's nice to have beach chairs that are for our use!
We weren't down there a real long time before heading back up and getting ready for dinner. We got to enjoy our first sunset from our condo!

Dinner tonight was a bit of a spontaneous choice. We found this restaurant called 100 Wines Maui and after checking out their fantastic looking menu decided we had to go there.

We were immediately impressed with the vibe and atmosphere inside along with the fact that there was a large chalkboard on the wall that listed all the farms and places where their meats and veggies and other local produce/dairy comes from!
Zach and I chose a bottle of Granacha Tempranillo to have with our meal and it was the perfect smooth red. A great mouthfeel!
To start we ordered the imported cheese board that was filled with several types of amazing cheeses along with honeycomb and fig jam and served with crostini.
We loooove cheese. For dinner we ordered the special of the night to share: slow-cooked short rib with twice cooked potatoes and a bruschetta.
The short rib was incredibly tender- no knife necessary! We completely drooled our way through this dish.
We were totally split on dessert, so we went two different ways! Zach ordered the chocolate mousse in a jar- which, while good, we both agreed was our least favorite taste of the night.
I ordered the lasagna style cheesecake, which we both agreed was one of the best tastes of the night!!
The flaky pastry stuffed with a cream cheese filling tasted just like cinnamon rolls and was the perfect way to end the meal!
