MOCHI

Thursday Afternoon


A short hop across the pond and we're back on Oahu in Honolulu! We picked up our car (which we will just have for a day) and headed back into Waikiki. It was past lunch time and we were both focusing on one thing- sushi! We found a place that looked good, went there, aaaand they were closing in 5 minutes. We were bummed, but not for long because we found something even better! Shokudo!

We started out with refreshing drinks- mine was a blueberry cocktail- that were excellent.

For sushi we ordered a spicy scallop roll and a lobster dynamite roll.

The lobster roll was especially delicious, ohhh I could have eaten three of those!! We also ordered mozzarella baked mochi in beef broth.

Mochi is that same rice paper gooey stuff that was wrapped around our ice cream from Bubbies. This dish was so strange and yet delicious at the same time! After lunch we headed to our hotel that was NOT quite looking the same as it was online... Way more divey haha, but it will suffice since we will hardly be in it at all but for to sleep tonight.

Off to the beach to read now!
