Friday Morning
Last morning to wake up in Hawaii. We woke up and realized we had not yet gone to Hokulani Bake Shop on this whole trip- and we definitely meant to! Hokulani primarily makes cupcakes and were on the show Cupcake Wars! Not only that, but they WON! So this morning we ventured just one hotel over to where the bakeshop was and each got a cupcake.
Zach got the strawberry shortcake- the one they won the show with, and it was awesome!!
I got a lilikoi with lemon icing and it was good, but Zach's was better!
We packed up our room and checked out and then, as if we hadn't had enough sweet for breakfast we headed to Leonards. Zach was quite insistent we hit up Leonards on our last day and I wasn't arguing :) We each had a custard and lilikoi malasada. (Custard is still my favorite!)
We ate these on the way to the North Shore. We were headed there because we re-made reservations with the North Shore Shark Cage Adventures. Figured this was the perfect way to end vacation! We were just about 15 minutes out when the cell phone rang... They canceled AGAIN due to rough water! Argh! That was awfully frustrating. I had really been looking forward to crossing this off my bucket list but apparently it was not to be this vacation...
Off to figure out how to spend our last day in the islands!
