We had such a fantastic time on the river yesterday that there was nothing we wanted more than to go again!! Today was just Kori and I though. Since we only had one vehicle we had to leave it at the ending point and figure out how to get to the starting point. After many discarded ideas we decided it would be so simple to call a taxi to pick us up and drive us the two miles to the starting point.
45 minutes, 31 dollars and 1 terrified taxi driver later we decided we should have walked. Turns out that NO drivers wanted to come get us because it was down a gravel road and they were afraid that they were going to get mugged! When they finally got someone to come get us he couldn't figure out where we were despite the fact we repeatedly gave him the simplest directions in the world. By the time he finally picked us up, dropped us off and charged us a firstborn child we were very much over the taxi situation...
Luckily the river cures all problems!! :D There is seriously nothing as relaxing as floating in a tube down a gorgeous river while soaking up the sun and drinking some wine (which was lunch by the way today, we just weren't hungry from the big breakfast!).
