SARENTOS

Monday Evening

I forgot to mention in the afternoon post that when we got back to the condo I went and did 35 minutes on the cross ramp and a round of best abs circuit!

Then Zach and I enjoyed a nice afternoon walk on the beach with our bottle of water (*cough* pinot gris :) )
When we got back to our place we decided it was time to explore the pool here. It's a rooftop pool so it has awesome views! It's really tiny, but we had the place COMPLETELY to ourselves so that always makes it fun :)

Next we got ready for dinner and headed out

I received a note from my loving husband that had us taking a detour on the way to dinner into Na Hoku jewelry store. When I got to open my anniversary present I found...pearls!!!

Beautiful pearls laid on a white gold coral necklace and earring set!!!! Breathtakingly beautiful. I have the sweetest guy, I really do :)
We made our way to our dinner location- Sarentos. It was on the top of a hotel and they gave use a table right by the window with the most beautiful views of the marina.

We were up there through sunset so it was nice to be able to watch the progression over the city from light to dark.

We shared a bottle of champagne (champagne is for celebrating!!) that was delicious.

To start we had the Chef's Daily Crudo- a raw beef filet pounded insanely thin that melted in your mouth like butter. Mmmmm.
They brought out a doughy bread and a cracker bread with the best hummus we've ever had!
For my entree I got the half portion of Eggplant Parmesan Cannelloni: zucchini, goat cheese, mozzarella, roasted eggplant, and smoked tomato bisque along with a caprese salad with gnocchi: kamuela tomatoes, bufala mozzarella, arugula, and parmigiano ricotta gnocchi. The portions were very small, but we liked that because it allowed us not to get too stuffed and the food was so rich and good!

Zach got the half portion of Spaghetti with Filet Mignon Meatballs: spaghettini, pomodoro sauce, and pecorino-romano and Local Asparagus: speck, egg over easy, grilled pizza dough, and table side parmigiano reggiano.

They brought us out a free dessert for our anniversary! Candle and all :) Tiramisu: mascarpone, lady finger cookies, espresso and dark rum.
It was a very tiny couple bite tiramisu, so we splurged and added a slice of chocolate oreo cake with cream cheese layers.
The whole meal was a wonderful experience and we had the best time!
