THE CHOCOLATE BAR

Sunday Evening

As if this day weren't good enough...we are staying at an awesome hotel!! Zach and I checked in to the Ritz Carlton in St. Louis (and felt very underdressed...) and found ourselves in an amazing room.
Huge bed, lovely balcony, stellar bathroom. The room itself is enormous! We like. :)

We hung out at our hotel for a good while talking and laughing and watching TV and playing games before we finally got hungry enough to call our taxi for dinner. We had a bit of rain and it was beautiful to watch off the balcony.

Taxi took us straight into the heart of St. Louis to Bailey's Chocolate Bar. We knew it was going to be good when we were served miniature little cookies upon sitting down... :)
So much on the menu revolved around chocolate including all of the drinks! I ordered their original milk chocolate martini and it tasted like a chocolate shake, so good.
For dinner Zach and I shared the Grilled Cheese: roasted tomato, basil pesto, mahon, asiago, gruyere and cheddar and the Whittemore Place pizzeta: Italian spiced tempeh, creamy smoked red pepper sauce, caramelized onion, roasted tomato, fresh basil and fresh mozzarella. Both were incredible and you would have never guessed that it was tempeh and not sausage!!
For dessert we shared something amazing that was surprisingly NOT chocolate! Banana Bread Split: vanilla and cinnamon ice cream sided with two slices of banana bread, whipped cream, caramel and toffee bits.
As Zach and I wonder constantly...why don't we have places like this in Muncie!?!
