CHOCOLATES GALORE

Monday Evening

The drive home was a bit long with Memorial Day traffic, but it was beautiful! I love driving in the mountains :)

Got hungry in the afternoon and had some of the flatbread leftover from our French picnic along with a peach (Heather sent a whole bag of peaches with us!).
Then Zach and I entertained ourselves in perhaps the best way possible- chocolate tasting!!
Remember how I said we bought a box of chocolates from Coffee and Chocolate? Well it was time to break into it :)

We had 12 pieces of gourmet chocolates and we shared each one for a total of 6 pieces each.

While a couple were a bit TOO unique for us each one was undeniably awesome. Amazing quality of chocolate!!! Want a run down? :)

Dark Chocolate Caramel
 Cherry Cordial
 Peanut Butter Crisp
Dark Chocolate Blue Cheese (a bit strong on the bleu cheese)
Balsamic Vinegar with silky caramel (as opposed to the sticky kind)
Vanilla Bourbon (one of our favorites!)
 Chipotle Caramel (spicy!!)
Lavender silky caramel (one of my top favorites but Zach said it tasted like hairspray...haha)
Sea Salt Caramel (another top favorite)
Candied Bacon Caramel (Zach's favorite- it really had bits of bacon in it!!)
 Sugar Cookie Ganache (my favorite!)
Only one I didn't take a picture of was the milk chocolate caramel- it was just like the dark chocolate caramel in the first picture. This was so fun!!

We got home and split some Chinese takeout: 1/2 an egg roll, kung pao chicken & veg, veg. lo mein
Sad to have such a wonderful fun-filled weekend be over, but the BIG vacation is rapidly approaching!!!
