HEATHER'S WAFFLES

Sunday Morning

Woke up a little stiff/sore from House Mountain and hungry for breakfast!!

Heather made us the most delicious whole-wheat oatmeal waffles!
Last night she combined a cup of ww bread flour and a cup of ww pastry flour with 1 cup rolled oats + two TBS of whey and 2 cups of water and let that sit overnight at room temp so the bread can ferment and make it more digestible.
Then this morning she added:
-TBS of butter
-TBS sorghum
-tsp cinnamon
-tsp vanilla
-tsp salt
-tsp baking soda
-TBS milled flax
-1egg
Measured it out by 1/2 cup portions and pour into your waffle maker (a cool Williams & Sonoma one like them if you have one ;) )
We had a great array of toppings to choose from so of course I chose them all ;)
I had one and 1/2 waffles with:
a banana, a TBS of the pomegranate Crofters, a TBS of natural PB and a TBS and a half of sorghum.

We really don’t eat waffles all that much and this was great! Plate-licking good actually ;)
Making our plans for the rest of our day with a gym trip in the near future :)
