NATURALLY SWEETER

Wednesday Morning: 5/2/12

The day in general right now is naturally sweeter because of all the sunshine we are having outside!! Hope it holds out. But that isn't the only thing that is naturally sweeter...

Zach and I really do not sweeten much of anything besides agave/honey in yogurt or oatmeal. One thing that NEEDS a sweetener though is grapefruit (at leas for me!). We don't use any artificial, chemically laden sweeteners such as Splenda, Sweet N' Low, Equal, etc. That's where Truvia comes into play.

NO artificiality (the Truvia jingle always gets stuck in my head!) The ingredients (erythritol and rebiana) may sounds like chemicals but actually erythritol is simply a naturally fermented sugar alcohol found in grapes and pears and rebiana is actually the stevia leaf extract.

Now I still am not advising that you start using tons of this a day (just as you shouldn't use tons of agave or honey) because it is STILL sugar which is not healthy for you in excess- remember, sugar is not a nutrient. But if you are going to sweeten your tea or your coffee (or your grapefruit) this little packet is a great choice!

I also cooked up some egg whites on the stove to have on top of a slice of Ezekiel 4:9 sprouted grain bread.
(There is toast under there, promise!)
"Part of this complete breakfast"
Unfortunately my grapefruit was less than stellar. And by that I mean it pretty much sucked. For one thing it had an extra thick rind so there was not a whole lot of "meat" to begin with. Then even with my Truvia packet it was incredibly bitter! :/

The toast and egg was great though!

Changed up my booty call this morning, was getting a little burnt out on the gazelle so decided to do something different. Did a cardio circuit that totaled 300 Jumping Jacks, 300 Butt Kicks and 300 Jump Ropes.
